Come along to a new networking event Get Ready for Winter, run by Changeworks in partnership with the Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA). The event is for everyone working or volunteering with vulnerable people in the Scottish Borders.
The aim of this free event is to facilitate information sharing and cross referrals between front line advisors and other community groups, so that together we can better help those who are in or at risk of fuel poverty.
Services and energy advice support
There will be presentations on the services and energy advice support available from Chris Clyne and Alan Cole of Changeworks, Roisin Hurst of Home Energy Scotland, Robbie Stevenson of Scotia Gas Networks and Sandy Black of Scottish Borders Council. This information can help you to help your clients prepare for winter and stay affordably warm in their homes.
Support organisation presentations
There will also be presentations from support organisations in the Scottish Borders, including the Healthy Living Network and Bumps to Babies. These are informal presentations to let you know more about other organisations in your area and how they might be useful for your clients.
There will be opportunities to ask all of our speakers questions, which we hope will generate good discussion.
The agenda will be updated as more speakers are confirmed.
This networking event is free and includes refreshments and lunch.
Langlee Community Centre is wheelchair accessible.
We will be taking photos throughout the day for Changeworks' and the SBHA’s marketing and communications purposes.
Please share the event details with anyone who you think may be interested in attending. If you have any questions, please call Chris Clyne on 0131 468 8665 or email email@example.com.
