On the evening of Monday 24th June there'll be a gathering of like minded folk, meeting up over coffee to do some good.
Here's your chance to come together and explore, how can mobile technology overcome life's barriers and help everyone live a life they love?
The evening's focus will be around a local community project, Get Tech of The You Can Hub. This community aims to share stories and inspire action - Let's get mobile technology into the hands of those who need it most.
Do you look at your mobile phone and think "how do people live without these? I use it for everything!"
Do you think, "I wonder what Grandma Jean could use it for", or "what about my friend who has a disability?"
Here's your chance to get together and explore the answers. Teams will form to think, create, drink, munch and make new friends. Get Tech will take these ideas and share them with the world, hoping to inspire action, whether that be a new piece of tech or one more person using a smartphone.
We'd love to get a whole mix of people together. Are you any one of these people?
- Thinkers - full of ideas
- Doers - keen to put those ideas into action
- Makers - designer, usability professional, developer, or just love making stuff!
- Social innovators
- Older in body but young at heart
- Looking for ways to live an incredible life with a disability
- Curious souls - interested in how mobile technology can change lives
