- Make Change Happen
How do local movements to take control of food, energy and finance relate to wider global issues?
What’s wrong all over & what’s fixable locally?
How can we the people do it for ourselves?
Taking place simultaneously in cities across the world, the Global Teach-In involves face-to-face deliberation, teleconferencing and an internet-based broadcasting network.
This worldly-wired and locally-live event includes discussions with Scottish experts, grassroots activists and citizens concerned with developing sustainable solutions to problems linked to our past over-dependence on multi-nationals.
Global Teach-In Scotland Speakers:
Mike Small is the founder of the Fife Diet local food movement, which aims to take back control of the food system, or 'occupy food'. He is an activist, writer & publisher focusing on experimental democracy, ecology and innovation.
