Recolo are pleased to present a one day workshop on Goal Setting and Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS). The workshop is facilitated by Dr Peter Tucker (Consultant Clinical Psychologist) and Steffi Skalla (Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist).

Understand the importance of goals in rehabilitation
Understand the basics of goals theory
Apply goals theory to the individual client, allowing for cognition, insight and motivation considerations.
Learn how to facilitate the setting of client centred objectives and Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Limited (SMART) goals
Learn what Goal Attainment Scaling is and what it measures
Learn how to use Goal Attainment Scaling and its value as a therapeutic tool
Implementing goals and Goal Attainment Scaling in a working system; the importance of collaboration
Who should attend?
This workshop is aimed at case managers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, community therapists and allied health professionals working in rehabilitation with clients with a brain injury. It applies to mental health, physical health and/or neurorehabilitation settings and is suitable for using with clients who have any level of neurodevelopmental disability.
It will benefit those working with a multi-disciplinary team, within goal setting or case management, with a desire to use a tool that enables realistic, achievable and measurable goal setting for individuals, helping to improve Quality of Life and delivering cost-effective neurorehabilitation.
