Greetings from Manchester

Join our Curator, Stephanie Boydell, to find out more about our beautiful collection of original Victorian and Edwardian greetings cards produced by Manchester based publishers S Hildesheimer & Co. who had premises near Victoria Station. The firm employed a number of well-known artists, including many women, and the quality of their embossed cards was unsurpassed.

The cards form part of The Laura Seddon Collection, which contains more than 100,000 Victorian and Edwardian greetings cards produced by well-known publishers of the day including Marcus Ward and Raphael Tuck.
