The Gulf Education Conference and Exhibition is now in its sixth year. Past Events have taken the format of a 2 day conference with an exhibition which runs alongside it. An awards presentation at a Gala Dinner is included on the first night to honour outstanding contributions to education in the Gulf region.
The conferences aim to address challenges and opportunities facing the education sector in the region and the future education needs of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region. It instigates innovation through international and regional inputs and discussions among participants and enables educators and governments to identify clear policies that benefit the countries' national workforce. The conferences also provide opportunities for foreign Public and Private sector Education organisations who seek a greater engagement with the Gulf region.
Attendees are from all forms of academia usually in Further and Higher Education, Ministries and commercial organizations involved in the Education profession.
In 2015, following four successful years in London, and in response to huge demand, the organisers moved the event from London to Gulf Region. The conference held in Abu Dhabi on 18th and 19th March and was considered a resounding success. Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development of the United Arab Emirates and Ministerial Delegation, the event was kindly hosted at the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research.
The event was attended by more than 400 people including delegates, participants, speakers and media and received extensive coverage across the Gulf media including television and radio.
