Hal Klepak:The First Signs of the Man He Was to Be: Churchill in Cuba, 1895
Wednesday, 6 March 2013 from 17:30 to 19:00 (GMT)
London, United Kingdom
UCL - Institute of the Americas (UCL-IA) cordially invites you to join Prof Hal Klepak (Royal Military College of Canada) for this talk.
While Sir Winston Churchill's right to the title of "Man of the Century" is rarely doubted, it is much less known that many of the attributes that gained him his reknown were already visible before his 21st birthday and were shown in the almost unresearched several weeks that he spent in Cuba in 1895.
Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required.
