Hats & Shades!

Hats & Shades is a fun and creative way to deliver the vital sun safety message to children and will help them become more aware of being SunSMart! Children are asked to wear their favourite Hats & Shades for the day and support Cancer Fund for Children. You can hold the hold on any day throughout the summer term, though it fits in perfectly with Sun Safety Awareness Week in May 2017.

FREE fundraising pack will be provided for you which includes:

  • Sun Safety Awareness posters
  • Activity sheet & pack of crayons per child
  • Sponsorship form per child
  • Posters to promote your Hats & Shades day!

Cancer Fund for Children

Cancer Fund for Children is the leading charity for children and young people living with cancer in Northern Ireland. We support all children aged 0-24 affected by cancer so we can help them and their families cope with the impact cancer has on their lives. Every week in Northern Ireland, three families will hear the devastating news that their child has been diagnosed with cancer. Cancer Fund for Children understands how crushing this diagnosis can be, and that outside of medical treatment, there is a family life which needs to be rebuilt. Cancer Fund for Children Specialists provide emotional, financial and practical support to the whole family, including brothers or sisters who are often left isolated, frightened and anxious. Our therapeutic short break centre, Daisy Lodge provides a much needed relaxing break for the whole family, giving them time to spend together, relax and recharge their batteries ready for whatever will come next on their cancer journey.
