- St James's Piccadilly, W1J 9LL London
Discover the depraved history of Fleet Street on this immersive walking tour oozing with the sights, sounds, songs, and stories of 17th and 18th-century London.
Join pioneering printers, sadistic censors, print matryrs, visionary hacks, celebrity harlots, one-eyed gingerbread salesmen, power-crazed media tycoons, and Dr Johnson's cat Hodge for this urban odyssey through the ancient courts, churchyards and alleys of Fleet Street in a world transformed by print and newspapers.
Free tomatoes to throw at pilloried hacks! And copies of the scandalous rags that put 'em there.
The tour lasts approximately 1hr 30 minutes, beginning by the plaque marking the shop of Wynkyn de Worde in Stationers' Hall Court off Ave Maria Lane and finishing in Carmelite Street by the River Thames.
