In response to both feedback from professionals, and the NSPCC report, we have created a 1-day course for those working with young people in Bristol looking specifically at relationships
This course is aimed at practitioners working with young people who have attended Level 1 Sex and Relationships training and wish to extend their learning to carry out more focused and proactive work in their setting. Please note, if you have attended BAVA Understanding Domestic Violence Training, there is some similar information included in this course. However this course is aimed specifically at those working with young people and around these issues.
Participants must have attended Level 1 Sex & Relationships, or have a good level of experience of sexual health or domestic violence work.
To improve participants’ ability to work with young people around the issue of healthy and unhealthy relationships. The course will develop skills in understanding and spotting abusive relationships, referring to support services and developing activities for young people around relationships.
