Henfield - **SATURDAY COURSE **Exploring ADHD (for people working with children and young people)

This is a half-day course for people working with children and young people in West Sussex.
This course is being delivered through a partnership between Coastal West Sussex Mind, Grassroots Suicide Prevention, YMCA Downslink Group, West Sussex County Council, West Sussex CCGs, and Heath Education England.
What will I learn?
Exploring ADHD is a psycho-educational workshop that aims to:
- Ask what is ADHD and how did it originate
- Inform attendees about the signs and symptoms of the condition
- Bust the myths surrounding ADHD
- Increase participants self-awareness around the issue
- Present diagnostic criteria with sub-types and co-morbid conditions
- Instigate a better understanding of executive functioning and how ADHD can interfere with this
- Offer strategies and tools for the toolbox: how can participants better help young people.
Getting to the Venue
Henfield Youth Club is based in Henfield. Henfield is situated at the road junction of the A281 and A2037. The A23 & A24 pass nearby, makes Henfield easily accessible. The nearest railway station to Henfield is Hassocks which is just over 7 miles away by road. Henfield is served by several bus services to the neighbouring towns and cities operated by the two bus companies Compass and Stagecoach. The venue is about 5 mins walk from the bus stop.
Timings & Breaks
The course runs from 10.00am - 1.00pm.
Tea and coffee with also be provided during break times.
Your £10 registration fee for this course helps towards the additional venue and refreshment costs. This is a non refundable deposit.
Please notify us ASAP if you are unable to attend the course. As this is a funded programme our aim is to ensure all available places are taken up. Early notification may mean we can offer this space to someone on our waiting list.
