Description

Ransomware is on the rise! A recent survey has revealed that 54% of businesses in the UK have been targeted by a ransomware attack. With 58% of these organisations paying the ransom, it is becoming a preferred and successful method for cyber criminals.

What is ransomware?

Ransomware works by infecting a computer and performing a reversible act, such as encrypting all the files and then requesting a ransom is paid, for the information needed to unencrypt the files. The ransom is often paid in bitcoins - an untraceable electronic currency.

Come to this event to find out more about ransomware; how to protect your organisation from an attack; and what to do if your organisation is hit by ransomware.
