The introduction of iPads into the classroom has the potential to transform the learning – and teaching – experience. If you're considering making the move, it's important to understand what it could mean for you. Designed for teachers from primary through to post-graduate levels, this course offers a hands-on demonstration of the impact the iPad can have on education, including a guide to its built-in tools and key apps, and the methodology of using them in the classroom.
Led by Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Teacher Kate Cheal, the course shows how the device can be used for both personalised and collaborative learning, and demonstrates a range of learning-specific apps which can result in a more creative curriculum and the potential for more active feedback.
This one-day course takes a hands-on workshop approach to enable educators to judge whether or not it's suitable for their needs. Exploring the ways in which the iPad can be used as a learning tool for classes in primary, secondary or tertiary education, the course covers the pedagogy of iPad use, apps and functions for a range of teaching purposes and the tablet's potential to provide personalised learning and assessment workflows. Topics covered on the day include:
Attendees will also receive a copy of all the information and resources covered on the day as an iTunes U course.
