To start the new HUB talk series here at HUB Westminster, we have a special interactive breakfast brought to you by HUB member Rainmaker Foundation, new project and friend of the HUB Globechain and Playmaker Loose Baker.
As we will be two days away from Valentines Day we want to make giving and generosity a focus of this talk, so all attendees are asked to bring a gift of any kind to give to another, to give away something you love – ideally something you already own and would like to pass on. Loose Baker will facilitate a creative way to exchange gifts and then we will hear from May Al-Karooni from Globechain, an online platform promoting sustainability through re-use. Globechain connects people, charities and businesses to enable them to reuse unwanted items within a global supply chain.
‘Rainmaker Foundation’ has brought this talk together and they are a collaborative charity that inspires generosity by bringing together meaningful causes all over the world. Loose Baker is the other side to Lucy Baker (community manager at HUB Westminster) who runs a company called ‘Everybody’s It’ that makes everything more playful.
Come connect, learn, share and have a croissant. All welcome.
A little bit about Hub Breakfast talks…
Like a mini-TED, our bi-weekly breakfast event is open to all including non-HUB members and it’s free, so a great way for non-members to check out HUB Westminster. You can hear about the most interesting and awe-inspiring projects in our community and beyond; from collaborative consumption and recycled food waste to mobile innovations in sub-Saharan Africa and Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation.
When & Where
Impact Hub Westminster
Impact Hub Westminster is one of the largest of a global network of locally owned collaborative working spaces. We are part of a community of over 7000+ members and makers worldwide in 54+ locations.
Our primary aim is to support organisations with positive social and environmental impact at the heart of their missions. We provide flexible access to workspace and curate a supportive, collaborative environment for these impact makers.
We believe early stage organisations struggle to survive in isolation. Our environment and services are designed to incubate the growth and sustainable positive impact of our members through collaboration and support.
To further support our community we host a continuous flow of brilliant relevant events and programmes providing a stream of learning and networking opportunities for our members.
