Developing a Technology Plan 
Part of the Charity Skills Masterclass Series 2016 

Charities are increasingly reliant on technology, whether for managing their ‘back office’ functions (e.g. HR, finance) or for enhancing their service delivery to their users and beneficiaries. Creating and following a strategy for using technology can help small charities deliver improved services and fulfill their missions. 

This workshop is for non-IT specialists and will:

  • Explain why a technology plan is essential and what to include in it.
  • Provide a framework for working with stakeholders to produce a technology plan that everyone understands and agrees with. 

  • Simple tools and templates will be provided which can be used on return to the participant’s organisation to develop the plan.

  • Time permitting it’s hoped to show participants some of the latest technologies that IBM uses itself to communicate, collaborate and to deliver greater productivity.

Lunch and refreshments throughout the day are kindly being provided by IBM.

Trainer Bio: Jeremy Worrell                                 

Jeremy is an advisor to Chief Information Officers and other executives, and is motivated to help ICT leaders realise business value from their use of technology, especially where societal benefits result.

He is highly experienced in strategy, innovation and assurance work with client organisations.  He has led executive-level cloud consultancy and earlier in his career built useful foundations by working extensively in IT architecture, development and support.



You must be a member of Small Charities Coalition in order to attend this workshop. If you aren't already you can register for free here.

If you cancel your place at least 2 working days before the event takes place then you are entitled to a full refund by request. Refunds for cancellations after this point are given at the discretion of the Small Charities Coalition.

If you cannot make a workshop please advise us as soon as possible. Workshops normally have a waitlist and if you notify us early enough then there's a good chance another charity can attend in your place.
