The availability of data, and the power of the tools we have for analysing and interpreting data, are both increasing as a result of social and technological changes.
When a random collection of photographs can reveal this much about the infrastructure of society, it is natural to wonder what might be uncovered by suitable analysis of other data sources.
This event brings researchers in medicine and biology, with large and/or complex data sets, together with informaticians with experience of handling and analysing large and complex data sets.
We hope it will reveal new opportunities for uncovering the unknown.
