In Conversation with Wendy Spencer, CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service
Guest Interviewer – Martyn Lewis
Tuesday 12 November, 6:30-8:00 including drinks and networking
Nesta, 1 Plough Place, London EC4A 1DE
Wendy Spencer, the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation for National and Community Service, will be joining us at Nesta for a conversation on learnings from programmes across the US that mobilise citizens to volunteer.
The Corporation is the main funder of City Year, AmeriCorps as well as many other programmes and it has become a major part of the landscape in the US, winning cross partisan support and playing a big role in making service part of the national dialogue. They’ve also been instrumental in bringing a higher degree of rigour around impact to the field and have helped to leverage significant philanthropic and foundation money.
This event seeks to convene funders, policy makers, practitioners, businesses, and other interested parties. Through lively conversation, we hope to elevate the debate about volunteering in the UK
Registration will begin at 6:00 pm with the event commencing at 6:30 pm. The event will be followed by drinks and networking from 7:30 pm.
