Description

  • Are you a musician or artist involved in London's DIY (Do-It-Yourself) music scene?

  • Are you a promoter putting on gigs in grassroots venues?

  • Are you a live music fan with a passion for DIY gigs?

  • Are you a musician or gig-goer with access requirements and want your voice heard to make things more accessible at DIY and grassroots gigs?

If you answer yes to any or all of the above, this event is for you!

Attitude is Everything, in collaboration with Constant Flux and DIY Space for London, is hosting an afternoon of workshops to give people the opportunity to feed their ideas into a new guide for bands, artists and promoters on how to make their gigs and tours accessible for Deaf and disabled people.

This guide will be designed to empower people to remove the barriers that might prevent people from participating in the DIY and grassroots live music scene.

Join us to explore access from the perspective of:

  • Bands / Promoters

  • Audiences

  • Venues

The event will end with participants being invited to share their ideas for the final guide, which will be published later in 2017.

Workshops will be interactive, creative and inclusive. There will be regular breaks throughout.

DIY Space for London is step-free and has an accessible toilet. For full access info, click here.

BSL interpretation is available upon request for this event. To book this, please contact Jacob using the details below no later than Tuesday 14th March.

If you have any specific access requirements you wish to discuss, contact Jacob Adams:
