Join this workshop at Jaywick Martello Tower to make poetic banners and flags. The banners will highlight themes, experiences and ideas important to you and Jaywick, with a creative approach using textiles, writing, designing, cutting and collage.

We will transform recycled fabrics into bright banners and flags that can be displayed in temporary locations around Jaywick. Led by artist Yarden Fudim, a student at Central St Martins College of Art & Design, this free workshop is an extension of her practice exploring people's responses to memory, identity, dreams and aspirations.

Driving access to the Tower is still through St Osyth, there is no car access to the Tower through Jaywick as our entry road is closed due to sea wall improvements. Please use the following address when using a satnav, where signage will direct you further:

Detailed directions:
From the East, take the B1027 westbound, from Pump Hill, turn left onto Clacton Road. Follow Clacton Road and then turn left onto Spring Road, continue onto Beach Road and follow the road into Seawick. At the car park, turn left onto the access track for the Martello Tower.

From the North (A12), take the A120 followed by the A133. Take the first exit at the roundabout and then turn right onto Heckfords Road. Turn right at the end of the road onto Thorrington Road then take the first left onto Plough Road. Take the next left onto the B1027 and then turn right onto Colchester Road. Continue onto Beach Road and follow the road into Seawick. At the car park, turn left onto the access track for the Martello Tower.

From the West, take the B1027 then turn left onto Clacton Road. Continue on Clacton Road then turn left onto Spring Road, continue onto Beach Road and follow the road into Seawick. At the car park, turn left onto the access track for the Martello Tower.
