Description

Are you a senior leader who is required to influence across boundaries or influence others to engage with change?

This event reflects an increasing need for NHS leaders to influence effectively, without authority, within a complex, integrated system, and cut across organisational and service boundaries.

It is of particular interest if you are a senior leader who is required to influence across boundaries or influence others to engage with change. It will help you understand how to influence others including colleagues, suppliers, providers, patients, their families or commissioners.

By participating in this workshop you will be able to:

  • Enhance your personal influence through authentic presence and emotionally informed insight.
  • Explore the role of personal and collective conscience when influencing within a system.
  • Explore the impact of hidden loyalties on your capacity to influence – understanding others’ perspectives.
  • Have robust conversations, without damaging relationships.
  • Apply social psychology to influence group behaviour.
  • Develop influence through building trusted relationships.

As an interactive, practical and immersive session, you will spend most of your time applying robust science to real life influencing challenges. The event will feel like an applied workshop where you learn something new, refresh what you know and learn from colleagues.
