Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology Launch Event

I was delighted to welcome the transfer of the MRC Clinical Trials Unit to UCL and the establishment of the Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology, both of which took effect from 1st August 2013. With existing activity at UCL, the transfer created a critical mass of Clinical Trials expertise that places UCL as the leading European centre and one of the leading World Centres for Clinical Trials.

On 2nd September 2014 an event will be held to launch the Institute and share that vision, showcasing current work and sharing how the ICTM can support all trials across UCL in the future.

The meeting will run from 14:00 to 17:00 and be followed by a drinks reception. The Provost, myself and the Dean of FPHS will speak briefly, with Professor Max Parmar (ICTM Director) and the leading trials experts at UCL providing the main content for the afternoon.
