Introduction to Online Fundraising
This workshop will explain how online fundraising can help small charities become less dependent on grants, giving you the tools and freedom to raise funds from individuals who care about your organisation.
The session will look at:
- Why you should be fundraising online.
- Tips for effectively communicating your work.
- Segmenting your donor base.
- Asking supporters to fundraise for your cause.
- How to make the most of LocalGiving's upcoming Grow your Tenner Campaign.
Trainer Bio: Chris Dormer
Chris Dormer, Head of Business Development at Localgiving, has over 6 years experience working with small local charities and community groups to help them to develop their online fundraising activities. Chris set-up his own local community group whilst at school and went on to work in grassroots organisations both abroad and in the UK, whilst in the last year he has brought in over £500,000 to develop a UK-wide training programme to support local charities and community groups with their digital marketing and online fundraising activities.
We ask that all attendees arrive 15 minutes before the workshop starts to allow for registration and ensure a timely start and the smooth running of the workshop.

Cancellations and Refunds:
If you cancel your place at least 2 full working days before the event takes place then you are entitled to a full refund by request. Refunds for cancellations after this point are given at the discretion of Small Charities Coalition.
If you cannot make a workshop please advise us as soon as possible. Workshops normally have a waitlist and if you notify us early enough then there's a good chance another charity can attend in your place.
