Description

The committee members of IP & ME, an IP Inclusive network focused on BAME professionals and their allies, are super, super excited to invite you to our inaugural event – a post-work celebration of Chinese New Year. One of the leading lights in all things diversity-related, Baker McKenzie, are very kindly hosting us in their London office, near St Paul's.

This will be an informal event with a focus on having fun! Our guest speakers Jenny He (Software Engineer and Senior Inventor, IBM) and Saufung Ma (Senior Associate, Taylor Wessing LLP) will give us some brief background to the traditions and cultural significance of Chinese New Year, as well as tips on business and cultural awareness. Following that, there will be refreshments and a chance to network with fellow supporters of IP & ME.

The event is open to all IP professionals and their colleagues, and is free of charge. Also, please feel free to ditch the suit on the day and wear something red, which symbolises good luck!

Organised by

IP Inclusive is an initiative devoted to promoting equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing throughout the UK's IP professions. Our activities cover four areas: awareness-raising upstream of the professions; best practice charter and accreditation schemes; diversity training; and support.

We aim to provide cost-effective and accessible training, discussion and networking events for IP professionals in diversity-related issues. We also encourage our member organisations and Charter signatories to incorporate diversity into their own CPD and training programmes, particularly those focused on commercial and personal skills training, to ensure that diversity stays on the agenda for the decision-makers within our professions.
