Diarmaid is a successful international marketing, e-commerce & new media business expert with 17+ years experience delivering profitability across all major product and content areas. Diarmaid has extensive usability focused product development knowledge, (CEM, CMS, CRM, SEO, SEM, on-line advertising and Content Strategy), he is interested in new challenges and opportunities to innovate business on the internet.
Diarmaid’s specialities lie across Product innovation and development, user experience architecture, online advertising provision, content and business development.
Eewei Chen, Solution Design Director, e Experience at BSkyB
Eewei has worked in the new media creative industry since 1993. he designed the first secure online musical distribution service (before itunes!), launched the first online music publication (nme.com) and helped set up the design department for the first truly integrated design agency, Conchango, now EMC Consulting.
At MSN International,and has also delivered online experiences to over 550 million users worldwide. Eewei fell in love with the Agile software delivery philosophy, as Creative Director at ThoughtWorks UK, and started to establish himself as an industry design and agile thought leader.
Now as Solution Design Director at BSkyB, he collaborates with business stakeholders and works in close partnership with development and operations to shape their end to end B2C experience across all mobile, tv and internet devices. He strives to challenge the status quo to match business criteria to customer needs in order to deliver truly useful and delightful customer experiences.
Brian Hoadley, MD of Digital Optimist – A strategic user experience consultancy
Brian began his career at the back-end as a telecommunications engineer. An early adopter and curious technologist, he conducted innovative multiplexing trials in the United States with Bell Labs and several Bell operating companies. Frequently finding himself the bridge between technologists and non-technical staff and customers, he quickly learned the value of making technology simple and usable.
Over the last 25 years he moved from designing mobile, digital microwave and fibre optic communications networks to project managing and designing UI experiences for users. Working in digital since the early nineties, he has worked with many international brands delivering world class digital products. Projects by Brian and his teams, like the innovative 4oD app for Channel 4 and the re-launched Lonely Planet site have been winning awards and delighting users over many years.
Over the last few years Brian has provided strategic UX consultation and team management on agile projects to customers ranging from early funded tech start-ups to major broadcasters, the UK Government, global investment banks and technology providers. Brian is currently the Acting VP of Product for Duedil.
Arthur Moan, Managing Director, UserZoom Ltd
Arthur heads up our UK operation which is growing at a rapid rate since its launch in September 2009. The skills and experience he brings to the management team covers strategic consultancy, sales & marketing, and project delivery across all digital channels, user interfaces and mobile technology with an unusual blend of commercial and creative flair. His background is User Experience having spent 5 years working at Foviance, one of Europe’s largest user experience consultancies.
“Over the past 6 years I have worked with the largest and most successful online businesses in the UK and globally helping them research and design compelling, usable and commercially successful web experiences. Over recent years I have seen first hand how the market has shifted towards more sophisticated research methodologies such as those provided by UserZoom”.
When not UserZooming, Arthur spends quality time with his family in the Cheshire countryside and plays the odd game of football; and of course, supporting his team Manchester United.
