Life Transformed: Christian Discipleship in the Power of the Spirit

We are excited to announce the first annual Kingdom Theology Conference - a one day conference on Saturday 29th June 2013 at Trinity Church, Cheltenham. Bringing together the best in deep theology with Kingdom values, we hope this conference will be an excellent opportunity to be inspired and encouraged. The conference is hosted by Westminster Theological Centre (WTC) in partnership with Trinity College Bristol. WTC are passionate about connecting the local church with the world of academic theology; it is therefore fitting that the conference will occur in a thriving local church, which is also a base for one of WTC's training Hubs.

Main Speakers

Dr Stephen Holmes

Title: 'In the Power of the Spirit: Jesus' Ministry and Ours'

Steve is a Senior Lecturer in Systematic Theology at the University of St Andrews. He teaches historical and systematic theology and homiletics. His research interests include the contemporary expression of Christian theology and evangelical Christianity. Steve is also editor of the International Journal of Systematic Theology and speaks widely both to academics and Christian ministers.

Dr Krish Kandiah

Bev Murrill

The papers should be 15 minutes long and will be followed by 15 minutes of discussion.

Please submit proposals in the form of an abstract (200 words) to Lucy Peppiatt on dean@wtctheology.org.uk

The deadline for proposals is March 14th, 2013.

Who is the conference for?

The conference is for anyone interested in connecting theology with ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit. We especially welcome academics, church leaders and theology students, as well as those with an interest in theology. It will also be a good opportunity for those interested in studying theology to be inspired by the kinds of issues theologians address.
