Course Content/Objectives

Aberdeen Science Centre’s Kitchen Chemistry CPD explores chemistry in a way that is accessible to everyone, using simple kitchen ingredients.

Participants will have the chance to get hands-on experience of classroom activities including; looking at the acidity of household substances using cabbage juice as an indicator, exploring the density of various kitchen items, simple chemical reactions and making corn flour slime.

 

Outcomes sought

During this CPD we aim to arm you with the knowledge and confidence to teach chemistry at first and second level.
