Event Details

Once again, we are delighted to welcome our friends from down the road to a pre-season Sussex derby.

The Dripping pan will be full for this all-ticket Friendly - absolutely no ticket sales on the gate.

Both sides are fielding their First Teams and for the fans it's a chance to get a first look at all the new signings.

Tickets are exclusively available here online. Eventbrite do make a small admin charge on top of the ticket price.

Once you have purchased your ticket(s), be sure to print it it out and bring it along on the day. Entry will be by barcode-scanning so make sure no one tries to photocopy your ticket and take your place! Also, try and arrive early to avoid queues and of course to give yourself time to relax in the Rook Inn before the game.

The ground is a one minute walk from Lewes station so you are strongly advised to get the train as parking is very limited in the area.

SGI-UK is the UK branch of Soka Gakkai International (SGI), a socially engaged Buddhist movement based on the teachings of the 13th century Buddhist teacher Nichiren. At the heart of the philosophy is a concept known as ‘human revolution’, whereby the inner change sparked by Buddhist practice leads to courage, compassion and wisdom, fostering fulfilled individuals with a wish to contribute to creating a better world. Basically, we chant (Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo) for our own individual happiness but, importantly, also for world peace. Throughout the UK there are local discussion meeting groups where people can find out about how to practise and apply Buddhism in their daily lives.
