Gayle Mill Trust

Gayle Mill is a beautifully restored Georgian water powered cotton mill, reinvented as a saw mill. The turbine believed to be oldest in-situ working turbine in the world drives the restored Victorian woodworking machinery.

We run activity days, courses and workshops throughout the year offering the chance to learn a range of traditional skills many of which make use of our historic water powered woodworking machines.
