Event Details

RIX Media is pleased to invite you to its Local Authority Information day to learn more about the RIX Wiki, a web-based tool that supports people with special educational needs and disabilities to live the lives they want to lead.

You will hear from Local Authority leaders about how the RIX Wiki offers an innovative multimedia approach for really effective person-centered planning, and how putting the individual and their family in control and at the heart of their new Education, Health and Care plan, has been enabled.

You will have the opportunity to learn from other education, health and care professionals and consider how RIX Wikis can give ownership of the planning process to individuals and their families.

RIX Wikis are uniquely accessible because they have been co-developed with the Learning Disability community.  They offer the integrity and depth of a system built in a university R&D setting that has pioneered exploration into how digital media can transform the lives of people with learning disabilities.

RIX Wikis and the Multimedia advocacy approach have been adopted by education, health and care organisations throughout the UK, Europe and the USA to embed person-centered approaches, a range of postive outcomes and clear social benefits.
