This is an opportunity to come along with your own Raspberry Pi to show people what you have done, or to attend and learn about the Pi hardware and software and perhaps get started on your own projects.
During 2016 we're working on a specific on-going project exploring the Internet of Things using a weather station as a platform. The aim is to collaboratively develop the software, try out different hardware devices, and make use of other services such as cloud-based datalogging, web services and remote desktops. If this all sounds too technical; don't worry! Our other aim is to progress at a sensible pace and make sure we all understand what is going on so that we learn new skills and can apply things to our own projects.
The Family & Adult session is suitable for older students (such as sixth formers / apprentices), accompanied younger students, and adults. If you have children attending the earlier Student Edition of the Malvern Raspberry Pi Jam, then this is your chance to try and get ahead of them! After the session at about 9pm, people can head to either The Chase Inn or the Wyche Inn for a drink and chat.
We have some keyboards, display monitors, power, and wifi available for you to connect up your Pi. We also have our own Pis for you to use. The event is free to attend, but because space is limited, we ask you to please register in advance.
