Event Details

Martina Milburn, the Chief Executive of The Princes Trust will come to Hult House to present about 'How to run a social enterprise as a high performing business.' 

Martina will be bringing some Young Ambassadors from The Princes Trust to share their stories of their social enterprise and offer inspiration for all students.

The evening is sure to be both informative and inspirational for all that attend and so please be sure to register your place to avoid disappointment. 

Martina Milburn

Martina joined The Trust in May 2004, after having been Chief Executive of the BBC Children in Need Appeal since 2000.

Martina trained and began her career as a journalist, established the Press and Communications function for the Catholic Fund for Overseas Development (CAFOD) and worked on a freelance basis for a range of charities. She then held the post of Chief Executive of the Association of Spinal Injury Research, Rehabilitation and Reintegration (ASPIRE) - a service delivery charity - for seven years, growing the staff from five to 100. In this role Martina was responsible for the development of Europe's first integrated arts, sports and rehabilitation centre.

In the 2012 New Year honours list, Martina received a CBE for services to charity.

The Princes Trust  

 The Prince's Trust is a charity in the United Kingdom founded in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales to help young people. They run a range of training programmes, provide mentoring support and offer financial grants to build the confidence and motivation of disadvantaged young people. Each year they work with 40,000 young people, with around 80% moving on to Employment, Education, Training or Volunteering.

Note: Please note that Martina will be speaking in the San Francisco lecture theatre, however to accomodate demand the lecture will be streamed live to London & Dubai lectures theatres as well.
