Workbench | Impact Measurement and the B Corp Movement
Embedding purpose and values into a business may come easy to some, but where does one start with measuring impact? Assessing all of a company’s impact beyond just product attributes or specific processes within an industry not only gives a full picture of how business impacts its stakeholders and allows us to differentiate those companies that say they are good to those that are truly making a difference in the world. So where does one start? The B Impact Assessment is a free and confidential tool that allows all companies to measure what matters most, their impact. This tool also creates the benchmark and standard for Certified B Corporations. B Corps are leading a global movement to redefine success in business, by meeting the highest standards of performance as measured by the B Impact Assessment and adopted mission aligned structures to lock in mission so it is built to last.
In this Workbench B Lab Europe, the non-profit behind the B Corp movement, and its local partner dutch, will share the story of B Corps and provide inspirational examples of how companies approach impact evaluation and use business as a force for good. What does it mean for the company? What do they learn in the process? We will conclude with an open workshop providing direct support to companies that are interested in taking the B Impact Assessment and finding out more about the journey to certify as a B Corp.
Do stick around for networking and drinks afterward where we’ll be joined by local Dutch B Corps!
