Regional Innovation Workshop
Sustainable Chemical Manufacture using
Maximising opportunities in Industrial Biotechnology
This Partnering Workshop is the first in a series of two to highlight sustainable Chemical Production through Industrial Biotechnology
The Technology Strategy Board is to invest up to £2.75m in business models, feasibility studies and collaborative research and development projects that utilise industrial biotechnology (IB) to produce chemicals. We aim to encourage the development and commercialisation of innovative processes that will generate high-value chemical products through IB and renewable feedstock’s.
The Industrial Biotechnology Leadership Forum (IBLF) is hosting three partnering events, all free of charge, to outline the scope of the call, provide guidance for the successful completion of a proposal as well as providing the opportunity for one-to-one networking meetings (arranged on the day) and a chance to discuss potential project ideas with members of the IB SIG.
The workshop will also provide the opportunity for businesses and academia to present a five minute pitch to attract new partners and help build new consortia. If you are interested in making a pitch please contact:
If you are unable to attend this Workshop, Maximising Opportunities in Industrial Biotechnology: Focus on Algae as feedstock for products and processes will be held in Edinburgh on 5th September. More information can be found here http://focusonalgae.eventbrite.co.uk/
