Event Details

Our Mayor’s Award Briefings are designed for any school that has not yet begun working with Bristol Healthy Schools towards gaining the award, or for those schools that would like a ‘refresher’ on how to achieve the Mayor’s Award for Excellence as a Health Improving School.

Mayor Marvin Rees is keen to promote a vision for our city where,

“…living healthy, happy and safe lives is the shared aspiration for every citizen...”

The Mayor’s Award for excellence was introduced to encourage schools to enable pupils to live healthy and fulfilled lives. The aim is for all schools in Bristol to achieve the award.

This day will include an overview of the Bristol Healthy Schools programme, an outline of what is involved in achieving the Mayor’s Award for Excellence as a Health Improving School and plenty of opportunities to ask questions to all members of the Healthy Schools team.

Attendees will gain a better understanding of the Mayor’s Award and its benefits to pupils, the school and the wider school community.

Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the day, but please note lunch is not provided. Parking is available.
