Media Coverage - Does Rugby Deserve More?
Melbourne holds pride of place as Australia’s sporting capital. Each year we proudly host iconic events such as the Grand Prix, Australian Open and Melbourne Cup Carnival. We are also home to the juggernaut that is the AFL, a billion dollar industry that leaves little space for other sports to stake a claim.
Securing media coverage is a fiercely contested battle and even epic events such as the British and Irish Lions Tour and the Bledisloe Cup can struggle for space in the sports section of our newspapers.
At our next Melbourne Rugby Business Network event we have a panel of media special guests and a RaboDirect Melbourne Rebel to discuss Rugby media coverage in Australia's crowded sporting market.
Our panel includes Tiffany Cherry, Sports Presenter, Producer and Host of Sports Radio Show 'The Hen House' on SEN. Stathi Paxinos, Sports Reporter Fairfax Media. Teresa Wells, Executive Producer of Rugby Time and Owner Operator of Wells Media Productions and RaboDirect Melbourne Rebel, Jason Woodward. The panel will be facilitated by Catherine Murphy (from our hugely successful Lions event in June), Rugby Reporter and contributor for Fox Sports, SEN and The Herald (Ireland).
Join us at the Imperial Hotel to weigh in on the discussion, meet other passionate Rugby supporters and make new business connections.
Special thanks to RaboDirect, the Imperial and Shave Human Resources for their ongoing support of the Melbourne Rugby Business Network events.
