New Ofsted Focus - Raising Standards of Tutorials

Who should attend:
Teachers and trainers who are responsible for planning and conducting group and individual tutorials.
About the course
With the inclusion of a new grade for Personal development, behaviour and welfare, and a refocus on supporting each individual learner in their preparation for next steps in education or employment, the importance of effective tutorial support has been significantly raised. Ofsted will include the observation of tutorials during their future inspections.
These half day sessions will enable teachers and trainers to;
- Understanding the personal tutor role, responsibilities and relationship
- Facilitate individual learning and development
- Support Learners’ academic, personal and welfare needs
- Support individuals’ transition and progression
- Review their practice against national standards and the Ofsted CIF 2015
