Master class 2: Measurement, management and reduction

12 August 2014, Royal Academy of Engineering

Collecting, understanding and using carbon data is a challenging task and infrastructure professionals can be defeated before they begin. With the right tools and know-how, this often-complicated task can become accessible at all levels of the supply chain, and at any stage of the design process.

Comprising a 45-minute master class followed by extended audience Q&A, this evening master class with Green Construction Board Infrastructure Working Group member and Anglian Water carbon manager David Riley and Circular Ecology founder Craig Jones, together with Mott MacDonald sustainability leader Maria Manidaki, will explain:

  • How to obtain useful, digestible carbon data on materials, transport and site activity
  • What a carbon model looks like and how it can be used
  • How to ensure consistebncy in carbon modelling and management
  • How to simplify carbon calculations while still gaining valuable insight
  • How to use carbon data to realise cost efficiencies

Join us on 12 August at the Royal Academy of Engineering from 18:00 onward, for a 18:30 programme start.
