MSRaynsford's Useless Machine Making Workshop
Sunday, 8 September 2013 from 10:00 to 13:00 (BST)
Brighton, United Kingdom
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
The useless workshop will guide you through the process of creating your very own useless machine from simple parts.
The useless machine has a switch that, when turned on, will cause a little hand to pop out of the box and turn the device off again. The kit will create a useless 'block' that holds the basic on/off functionality of the machine. This mounts the toggle switches, servo and limit switches in the correct place. This block can then be put in the box provided or moved across to any other box in the future. The box is made from 3mm Birch laser ply and once assembled the box measures 110 x 80 x 50mm (not including switch)
The workshop will include assembly of all the wooden parts and some basic soldering, it is suitable for beginners although previous soldering experience is of benefit.
