Event Details

A one-day symposium including keynote lecture, panel session and an interactive display will explore enhanced exhibitions and augmented artefacts.

Technology is increasingly used to enrich the visitor experience. It is having a major influence on the care and display of museum collections. Design with Heritage is asking:

  • How does producing artworks by Rapid Prototype technology change the way we think about and conserve these objects?
  • What is the relationship between an ‘authentic’ artefact and a digital reproduction?
  • How do we provide responsive content to visitors moving around a gallery?
  • How can we use digital technology effectively to explore multiple narratives in a collection of artefacts?

Confirmed speakers and panelists include:

Jussi Angelsleva (Art + Com); Evelyn Wilson (The Culture Capital Exchange); Gabby Shawcross (SOCA London); Nick Poole (Collections Trust)
