For this event we will be joined by Lora Vogt, Haley Sheriff, and Lt. Col. (ret.) Nikki Dean from the National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City.

They will discuss the collections and holdings at the Museum, opportunities for researchers to engage with them, and their upcoming symposium: Beyond the Trenches: Indirect Approaches and Irregular Warfare in WWI

The National WWI Museum and Memorial is America's museum dedicated to remembering, interpreting andunderstanding the Great War and its enduring impact on the global community. Founded in 1926, the Museum and Memorial holds the most comprehensive collection of Great War artifacts in the world and has been ranked one of the top 25 museums in the country.

Lora Vogt is the Vice President of Education and Interpretation. For over a decade, Vogt has led the Museum and Memorial’s educational initiatives, including digital programs, curriculum development, and public outreach.

Haley Sheriff is the Learning and Engagement Specialist. Sheriff oversees the design and implementation of the Museum and Memorial’s public educational programming, supports academic advisory boards and contributes to both onsite and online interpretive content.

Lt. Col. (ret.) Nikki Dean is the Military Historian, providing research support to exhibition design, educational content development and public programming. A retiree from the U.S. Army, Dean served for over 21 years as an aviation officer and was stationed throughout the globe.
