Norfolk CAS Hub Meeting - 30th Jan 2013
Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM (GMT)
Norfolk CAS Hub Meeting
D'Arcy Thomson Room - UEA School of Computer Science
30 Jan 5:15pm - 6.15pm (after Mike's CPD)
Given the schedule congestion caused by us having to postpone Mike's original CPD, we're going to combine the his rescheduled CPD course with the next hub meeting by doing the hub meeting straight after the CPD. Not ideal but probably the best option given how much everyone's diaries have been messed about in recent weeks. Hope everyone can make this work one way or another.
The Computing At School group (CAS) aims to promote the teaching of Computing at school. CAS was born out of our excitement with our discipline, combined with a serious concern that many students are being “turned off” computing by a combination of factors that have conspired to make the subject seem dull and pedestrian. Our goal is to put the excitement back into Computing at school.
The Computing At School group (CAS) is a grass roots organisation, whose energy, creativity, and leadership comes from its members. CAS is a collaborative partner with the BCS through the BCS Academy of Computing, and has formal support from other industry partners. Membership is open to everyone, and is very broad, including teachers, parents, governors, exam boards, industry, professional societies, and universities. We speak for the discipline of computing at school level, inc. FE, and not for any particular interest group.
