North Wales Information Session: National Science & Engineering Week 2013
Every year over 2 million people take part in National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) events around the UK. Funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, NSEW is the UK’s widest grassroots celebration of science and provides a platform for a diverse range of organisations to reach out to new and existing audiences with events and activities that communicate the wonders of the sciences and engineering. It next takes place from 15th to 24th March and the theme will be "Invention and discovery".
At this workshop you will find out about:
- Hands-on activity ideas
- Practical elements of organising and running events
- Funding hints and tips
- Activities and event formats tried and tested
- How to find presenters and/or activity partners near you
- Details of the 2013 theme and national projects
- Free resources for teachers and other organisers
You will be able to network and brainstorm ideas with other event organisers from a diverse range of organisations including schools, colleges, universities, museums, local community groups, charities and businesses.
Booking is essential as places are limited.
