Northern RAS Event Showcase

The Northern Robotics Network is pleased to announce that it will be showcasing Northern, UK & International Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Capabilities, Challenges and Opportunities at MediaCityUK.

This all day Launch Event will be held on Friday 4th September at the University of Salford in MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, Greater Manchester; the Northern home of the BBC and ITV.

The UK has a great opportunity to grow & sustain its economic wealth in a competitive global marketplace.

Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS), one of “the UK’s Eight Great Technologies”, offers a fast-moving, key area of demand and investment.

This high profile launch event is being held in association with the University of Salford, the GAMMA Partnership, the Autonomous and Intelligent Systems Partnership, SMART-E partnership and the Food Manufacturing Engineering Group.

We will showcase leading RAS capabilities; innovative RAS technology developments; and publish strategies to deliver the key business benefits for UK wealth creation.

The event itself will be host to conferences, workshops and exhibitions involving the invited participants of the associate organisations. In addition there will public exhibition and live demonstration areas, raising awareness of the business and career opportunities to a wider audience through the fantastic media platform that this venue offers.

Topic areas will include :

• Developments in Perception, Communications, Reasoning and Decision-making

• Challenges and Opportunities in sectors as diverse as Energy, Food, Aerospace, Rail, Advanced Manufacturing and Smart Cities

• Contributions from Academic, Corporate, SME and Enterprise advocates.
