Aim and Content of the Course
Trainer: Adam Redfern
To give individuals a better understanding of the office environment when considering the role of an interpreter. Boundaries, pitfalls, hints and tips to make the job easier and more importantly arming with knowledge to make better choices as to the how, what and when of interpreting in an office environment.
Adam has been a qualified interpreter since 2003 and one that is specialised in legal settings, mental health settings, and office environmental interpreting.
His training background is one of being a trainer of varying different things for 15 years. Professionally from teaching on CSW courses a long time ago, being a personal protection instructor, an unofficial mentor (not having done the ASLI training) to interpreters, also trainer of interpreters for the past 8 years on subjects from lone working, personal protection, police interpreting, office interpreting and religious interpreting.

Training Advocacy And Guidance Service
We currently work alongside organisations that engage or might want to engage with the deaf community.
We provide advice and support through our Deaf Access Centres, Interpreter Support Network and Interpreter Development Programme.
