Description

Safety Net works to improve safety and well being for children, young people and families at home, school and in their communities.

This workshop focuses on helping you to keep children and young people safe online, and includes:

  • Signposting to useful websites
  • Technology is contagious - are you being a positive role model?
  • Discussion about screen time
  • Contains a mix of group discussion and videos, and utilises fantastic resources that you can use again and again
  • Parenting tips for when technology is "getting in the way"

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

  • understand the risks and issues affecting children and young people online

  • take steps to protect your child(ren) online

  • facilitate communication with children about staying safe online

Places on courses cancelled with less than two weeks notice before the course start date will not be refunded. All courses are based upon a minimum of 12 attendees. If under subscribed, Safety Net may postpone a course until the following scheduled date and move your booking accordingly.
