Perl School: Modern Perl for Non-Perl Programmers
Saturday, 4 August 2012 from 10:00 to 17:00 (BST)
London, United Kingdom
An introduction to Perl for programmers who don't use Perl (or don't use much Perl).
Perl has come a long way in the last ten years. It has web frameworks, a powerful ORM, a huge number of add-on libraries and one of the most flexible object systems you'll find in any language. And there are plenty of companies in London who use Perl and who are looking for Perl programmers.
Come and see why so many companies rely so heavily on Perl. Find out what makes Perl programmers so productive.
Perl author and trainer Dave Cross introduces Perl in a free training course that is tailored for people who have used other programming languages.
When & Where
Magnum Solutions Ltd
Magnum Solutions is a small London-based consultancy and training company.
Registration has been open for 18 hours and already 66% of the spaces have been reserved. If you're considering coming along, I suggest that you don't wait too long.
It seems that Eventbrite doesn't understand the concept of British Summer Time. The event times are in BST, not GMT.
The original 50 places sold out in less than a day. We then opened a waiting list. But we closed that when it got to 15 people (I really don't think that many people are going to drop out).
Thanks for the interest, but we're not going to be taking any more registrations for this event. But the obvious popularity means that it's very likely that we'll do something like this again at some point.
If you want to be one of the first people to know when future courses are arranged, please sign up to our Training News mailing list.
If you couldn't get a ticket for this course, then don't worry. We're doing it all over again. The course will run again on Saturday, 6th October. See perlschool2.eventbrite.co.uk to book your ticket.
