In this evening masterclass, the Guardian's Martin Argles and Sean Smith present and discuss their work as photojournalists. Sean has experience as a war photographer in conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Chechnya and many other countries and Martin specializes mainly in domestic political subjects. During their talk they will suggest ways that interested photographers might use the ideas and techniques behind photojournalism to broaden the scope of their own work. There will be time for a Q&A session at the end of the event.
Participants should gain a better understanding of a subject often thought of as the more glamorous and significant face of news photography.
