Event Details

In the UK, over 50% of women aged 25-34 – the peak reproductive years – are overweight or obese. Excess weight is associated with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancers and decreased fertility. In pregnancy, obesity is a direct cause of increased risk of miscarriage and stillbirth.

At this event leading experts from research will discuss the consequences of a woman’s health before and during pregnancy for subsequent
generations. POST is delighted to collaborate with the Food Foundation on this event.
