Progression: A Successful Journey Through Post-16

A joint event co-hosted by Learning Plus UK and UCL Institute of Education

This one day event focuses on the progress learners make from starting the sixth form to leaving and beyond.  Aimed at those responsible for the leadership, quality and provision of the 16-19 study programmes in schools, academies, FE and sixth form colleges, the day will provide you with:

  • Strategies to implement
  • Time to review and develop your practice
  • Up to date information from the DfE
  • Opportunities to share practice with other Post-16 leaders

An overview of the impact of the new prior attainment criteria and changes in coming years

 

Progress: The Journey - Workshop choices:

1.  English and maths progress: Strategies to improve GCSE English and maths at Post-16

We will consider organisational strategy for success with GCSE English and maths and look at how management and teaching approaches can influence outcomes.

 

2.  In Year Progress: Data and Interventions

Review your current practice, share ideas and identify areas for development to enable you to have the right data to inform timely interventions.


 

DfE Update: Accountability Measures, Education Reform

An update on the new 16-19 accountability measures and Post-16 education reform

Progressing Beyond Post-16 Destinations

Looking beyond Post-16 at the areas to consider to prepare young people for the future enabling them to progress.
