The task of developing a speaking business is not for the faint-hearted. Joy has been working in the speaking industry for the past 10 years and has worked with international clients PepsiCo, Aon, Michelin, Saint-Gobain, Oracle and also the NHS and the Police.
In this Keynote Joy will share some steps you need to take to grow your business and overcome some of the common hurdles speakers face.
Steve Houghton Burnett - Brand Me! A personal journey in creating a speaking brand
Steve Houghton-Burnett is a motivational speaker whose main topic is Emotional Intelligence. He also runs a successful Change Management consultancy, is a serial entrepreneur and Non-Executive Director of several small fast-growth businesses. So why is he speaking about branding? After all he isn't a marketing or branding expert.
Simple, really. Like most of the people in the audience, he wears several hats, and had to go through the thinking and decision making around what he wanted to achieve by having a 'Speaking' brand. His first decision, was whether he wanted a separate speaking brand at all! So be prepared for an inclusive and lively session with Steve, where he examines what motivated some of his decisions, and will be asking you to challenge some of yours.
A bit about Steve
Steve is no stranger to change; in fact he thrives on it and seeks to actively provoke those around him to be constantly aware of the potential for change.
He was responsible for helping to establish the Internet as a major force for business in the UK. He started one of the first combined design and technical agencies delivering award winning web sites for his clients.
He also started one of the first five Internet Service Provision (ISP) businesses in the UK which was incidentally the first to make a profit. It grew rapidly over a five year period and after two mergers and three additional rounds of funding ended up being sold for £300 million six weeks before the .COM bubble burst and creating 14 'overnight' millionaires in the process.
So join PSA North East for some great speaker insights.
